Garry Scanlan has over 35 years’ experience in the Australian maritime, port and resources industry, and 25 years in leadership roles.
For the last 17 years, he has been working in the public and private sector facilitating the development and delivery of major projects in Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Garry was a member of the Management Group of the Darwin Port Corporation for 10 years, chief executive officer of the Gladstone Economic and Industry Development Board and on the leadership team for the Santos GLNG project in Gladstone working to safely and efficiently deliver a world first CSG-LNG plant and Queensland’s newest export trade.
Garry was honoured to be appointed CEO of the Greater Whitsunday Alliance Ltd. in January 2017 to drive regional economic development in the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday region.
Garry has extensive experience in successfully working with government, boards, senior management teams and diverse and high level stakeholders to deliver strategic business outcomes.
